Zero Malaria
According to WHO, Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by Plasmodium
parasites and exerts the highest burden in Africa south of the Sahara. It remains a
disease of public health significance with an estimated 219 million cases and 435,000
deaths globally in 2017. Most of these deaths (93%) occurred in Africa.

Pregnant women and children under five years bear the brunt of the disease with over
70% of all malaria deaths being reported among children under five years. Malaria poses significant risks in terms of morbidity and mortality to both the pregnant woman and the developing foetus.
This initiative identifies the need to protect pregnant mothers and
children under age 5 from this endemic by providing Long Lasting Insecticide – Treated
Nets (LLIN), mosquito repellant creams and every other preventive incentive for this demograph
